Buffalo Sauce
- Total Time
- 5 minutes
- Makes
- about ½ cup
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp light brown sugar
- ¼ cup hot sauce (possibly more, to taste)
Notes
Basic buffalo-style wing sauce, with a little brown sugar to help it stick better to wings with no breading.
My favorite hot sauce to use is a homemade one using fermented peppers, but you can use whatever you like or have on hand.
Directions
- Melt the butter and brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Add hot sauce and stir until combined. Season to taste with salt. Add more hot sauce if desired.
- Remove from heat and use as quickly as possible. If the sauce starts to break, heat it back up and stir until it combines again.
